I've always had the desire to create. When I was in high school I thought I would grow up to be a children's illustrator, a cosmetologist, or an interior designer...I had many interests which made it overwhelming for me to choose what path I wanted to take. Funny enough, I never even considered photography because at the time, growing up home schooled, in a small town, with not many photographers, I didn't know that was a "thing." 

However, when I turned 19, I purchased my first laptop with my graduation money and fell in love with Photoshop and Lightroom! I loved playing with light and color and creating beautiful images. So my dad bought me my first Nikon kit camera from Costco, and I began taking pictures for friend's and family just so I'd have photos to edit. 

Soon people began asking how much I charged, which blew my mind because I didn't realize I could actually make money doing something so fun!

I continued photographing local families, until May of 2015 when I married my husband and moved to Orange County where I then decided to take the plunge and get into weddings!

It's been a long journey of learning and growing, but every day I'm blessed to be able to do what I love and meet so many wonderful people and create so many wonderful memories!

Sara lives in South Orange County with her husband, Kyle, 18 month old daughter, Eden, and their sweet corgi, Bug. When she's not shooting, you can find her chasing her little one around, watching movies, eating ice cream, and just spending time with her family at the beach or park.
